Tribute to Pastor Stephen F. Mason

“For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.” 2 Cor 5:21

Greater Pearlie Grove will forever miss the teachings of our late Pastor Stephen F. Mason. His teachings here, span over a 26-year commitment to the kingdom and His people. The mission of Greater Pearlie Grove is to “Learn, Grow, and Serve”, and that is one of the many ways we will continue Pastor Mason’s legacy.

To Learn is to do as 2 Tim 2:15 states: “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” Pastor Mason stressed the importance of “knowing” God’s Word for oneself. Not relying on one’s own strength, but to base it in The Word.

To Grow. Luke 14:23 reads: "And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled." This gospel goes beyond the four walls of the building, it’s for those who may NEVER come in the traditional manner.

To Serve. John 9:4 reads: I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. Pastor Mason “stressed” the importance of WORKING. In order for this gospel that Pastor Mason taught about, WE must get up and DO. This gospel requires hands, legs, and feet to reach the masses.

Pastor Mason’s Legacy will live on in each of us that are willing to STAND for Christ and not be tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine.

The Late Pastor Stephen F Mason lived, 2Tim 4:7-8, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”

Let US continue doing the work that Pastor Mason taught and preached about.

                                                                                                            HIS LEGACY WILL NEVER DIE!
